9 October 04 - December tour 2004 In December, Morten Abel will do six live shows together with Bertine Zetlitz and Lene Marlin. Altogether there will be 25,000 tickets available for the concerts. 9 October 04 - Nordic Music Awards Morten has been nominated for "best Norwegian artist" at the first Nordic Music Awards which will be held at the Oslo Spektrum on 21st and 23rd October. Morten and other Scandinavian artists will perform at the awards on 21st October (19:30). |

19 August 04 - Alt for Egil The film "Alt for Egil" premieres at Norwegian cinemas this week. Morten is one of the actors in the film and has contributed 4 songs to the soundtrack. Watch the trailer for the film on the official website www.altforegil.no. |

7 February 04 - On Tour Morten's tour of Norway began at Folken in Stavanger on Thursday 5th February. After more than forty shows, the tour ended at the Namsos Rockfestival on 27 March. Morten will also do some live shows in the summer, check the tour page for details. |

22 January 04 - PetreSessions On Wednesday 28th January, Morten performed live with his band for PetreSessions (NRK Petre). The concert was broadcast live on the radio from 18:00. 10 January 04 - Tour Morten's 2004 tour will kick off in Stavanger on 5th February. The tour of Norway will last until the end of March. Check the tour page for the dates, more shows will be announced soon. The band who will join Morten on tour are: Børge Fjordheim (drums), Inge Helland (guitar), Hans Petter Heggli (bass), Geir Bratland (keyboards) and Ingfrid Straumstøyl (backing vocals). |

6 January 04 - Fadderaksjon The TV show "Fadderaksjon - Ei hand å holde i" (TV2) will be broadcast live from Kenya and Oslo on 10th January. Morten went to Kenya to record a music video with Kenyan musicians which will be broadcast during the show. |

24 December 03 - Stuck On You Morten's song "Welcome Home" is being used in the new American movie "Stuck On You" which premieres in Norway on 25 December. The movie stars Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, Cher, Eva Mendes and Seymour Cassel. |

19 November 03 - Number 1! The new album "Being Everything, Knowing Nothing" went straight to number 1 in the top 40 album chart. The album stayed in the charts for 19 weeks. With over 60,000 copies sold, the album quickly reached platinum status! |

19 November 03 - Free concert in Oslo On Saturday 29th November (1200 hrs), Morten will do a free concert on Slottsplassen, in front of the Royal Palace in Oslo. Morten will be the first and only artist to do a concert here. The concert is to celebrate TONO's (Norway's Performing Rights Society) 75 year anniversary. You can watch the live broadcast here. |

17 November 03 - Store Studio On Monday 17th November, Morten was on the Norwegian talk show "Store Studio" (NRK 1). He was interviewed and performed "Cecilia Carter" with his band. When the TV broadcast finished, the interview continued on Radio P2 with live versions of "Winterland" and "The Birmingham Ho". |

10 November 03 - The Birmingham Ho The first radio single from the album was "The Birmingham Ho", released to radio stations on 3rd October. It spent 19 weeks in the Hit 40 radio chart. "The Birmingham Ho" is the most requested video in NRK Svisj, the interactive TV / video show. |
